Enriched Air Nitrox - 40%

As an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen.

This SSI program is a way to expand your diving knowledge to include the use of Enriched Air Nitrox. We'll demonstrate how to measure the oxygen content of your cylinder, as well as review and explain the benefits and risks of diving with Enriched Air.  

To Do Before Class 

  1. If you don’t already have one, create a diver profile at:https://my.divessi.com/register - Ensure that “Dolphin Scuba Center” is selected as the Training Center. 

  1. Upload a photo clearly showing your face (no hats or sunglasses) so that we can complete your recognition at the end of the class.

  2. Read and watch the videos in your digital materials (4 sections/chapters) located in the SSI app/via the SSI website after creating the diver profile. 

  3. Complete the Knowledge Reviews at the end of each section.

  4. Complete both Final Exams at the end of the material.

What to Bring to Class 

  1. Bring your mobile device (laptop, tablet, phone), and charger.

  2. Bring a pen/notebook for taking notes.

Medical/Liability Release 

Upon enrolling for class, you will be required to print and fill out a medical statement. This medical and liability release is required by SSI and the Recreational SCUBA Training Council (RSTC):

Required Student Information

Log into your SSI Account, and check that the Responsible Diver Code, the Assumption of Risk, and Liability Release & Hold Harmless Agreement have been signed within the last year.
