When you became an Open Water Diver, you were introduced to the Total Diving System. This system contains several complex components that are designed to keep you safe and comfortable in an underwater environment.  Using a high-quality and properly maintained Total Diving System enhances your enjoyment of scuba diving and contributes to your comfort and confidence. The SSI Equipment Techniques program gives you the in-depth skills, knowledge, and experience to properly maintain your equipment. This program does not provide you with the skills or training required to perform expert level maintenance on your Delivery System or Buoyancy System. Our goal is to teach you the information required to care for your equipment between dives, and the simple skills and techniques for minor field repairs, that ensure you get as much enjoyment from your equipment as possible.  No Dives Required.
