In its very simplest form, a snorkel is a bent tube that enables you to breath with your face underwater. Quite naturally, the configuration of that tube and the design of its components will determine its level of comfort during use. All SCUBAPRO snorkels are hydro-dynamically designed for ease of use. Elliptical barrel models cut through water with very little resistance, allowing unrestricted breathing and ease of clearing. Contoured models bend closely around your head to minimize drag. Semi-dry top models help prevent water entry into tube. All models incorporate specially-designed mouthpieces that conform correctly to your bite, and can be angled for maximum comfort.

    There is no better snorkle... PERIOD.

    I go under waterfalls, through rapids, and in the surf. Round snorkels get wobbly in the current... this one doesn't. It is an oval shape which means it has a high capacity but a lower overall cross section. For me that is a good thing. It also has a purge valve on the bottom, and a unique design on the top... so even in rough water and waterfalls I can do what I really need to do... BREATHE! I lost my original one... and buying this as a replacement... no other one will do.

    My last snorkel was the ScubaPro Shotgun. I purchased that one in 1988 when I was 14. I lost it in a heavy surf exit last winter and it broke my heart. This snorkel has so far lived up to all my expectations as well. If you are going to spend a lot on a snorkel, it had better stay out of the way when you are diving and be there when you hit the surface and want to go off air. Durable, well made, and stays out of the way when I need it to the most. Great job!
