A continuation of the the SCUBA Explorers program: Unforgettable aquatic adventures for kids – Go underwater and discover the wonder of Snorkel, Scuba, Mermaid, and Freediving Explorer programs. The mission of SSI Explorers is simple: To involve children in scuba diving, freediving, snorkeling, and mermaid so they can experience the excitement of water exploration!

The ocean comes alive at night with creatures that are less seen during the day and the behaviors of animals may change as the sun goes down. Who hunts at night and who is sleeping? And what happens during the Greatest Migration on Earth? Night and Limited Visibility Explorers will learn about how the ocean changes at night and what kinds of equipment and skills divers use after the sun goes down. We will explore the world of bioluminescence and learn how to use UV lights on our simulated reef during our night dive experience.

Required equipment: Students must provide their own swimsuit, mask, snorkels and fins. All other equipment including tanks, regulators and buoyancy compensator will be provided.
Additional information: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and must be comfortable in water and be able to maintain their buoyancy in water too deep to stand in. Must sign waiver and must have parent or guardian-signed waiver.

Schedule and availability vary based on the child’s and instructors schedule, number of participants, and the SCUBA Explorer session being conducted.
