In Scuba, if it's not attached to you then it's gonna end up on the bottom. This solves the problem, keeps all your gear (lights, gauges, and camera....) close to you until you need it. Release the clip and the coil lanyard allows you to use your gear with out having to worry it will go far. Light weight but strong! I use one of each of my cameras, UK Light Cannon eLED, Princenton Tec Shockwave LED. Works Great!! I also keep a few spares for friends to borrow..

Good quality, extendable coil that allow ease of movement. Life span of metal parts will need time and exposure to sea water to ascertain.
This is a good piece of rec diving gear. Perfect for my lights, console, whatever. The hooks are high quality. It does what it is supposed to well, I'm satisfied.
This proved to be great for clipping on your camera when diving underwater. We used it for our GoPro3 and it was perfect. Clipped onto the BC easily and allowed for easy access and I never had to worry about dropping it. Made very well and seems like it will last a long long time.
Bought this to secure a gopro camera to the BCD while diving. Hooks work fine, not likely to inadvertantly come off. Going on is quick, coming off you have to look and pay attention to get them off of the ring on the BCD, clip mechanism works fine, might be more difficult with gloves. I liked the coil that kept the camera close by if you had to let go, and still let you hold it out at arms length. There is a quick release clip that secures the ends closer together, used this feature frequently and they worked great. Overall, it seems well made
